Is it possible to really make money from Google Adsense? How is it done? Google’s Adsense is a free program that allows any website publisher to embed relevant Google ads into a site and be paid for it.

You can place your Google Adsense ads on content pages, mobile phones, search pages, or RSS feeds.

Many people invest quite a lot in developing and maintaining a website. Even an ecommerce site will bring in a lot of traffic – or at least some traffic – but not all of those visitors convert to sales, naturally. Other sites don’t have a product to sell, and would like to be able to recoup some of the expenses they incur by hosting a website.

Google’s Adsence (appropriately spelled “Adsense”) will allow a website owner to collect money in exchange for having small textual or graphic advertisements on a website.

Like many internet advertising programs, Google’s Adsense is a “pay per click” system, where the website owner gets paid not for simply hosting the ad on the page, but only if visitors click on the ad. Still, some visitors do click, and it’s income you wouldn’t have had without it.

To begin making money with Google Adsense, first sign up on their website and create an account. After that, you can choose from several different options to decide what kinds of advertisements you will display on your site, and what style of advertisement will fit best with your site design.

You can choose text only, graphics only or combination ads, advertisements that feature Google products, different sizes of ads, and agree or not to displaying free advertisements for non-profits when the for-profit ads aren’t available.

There are also options for customizing the color scheme of the ads to fit your website style.

After you’ve made your choices, Google Adsense displays the code to make it happen, you copy and past the code to the pages of your website, and the ads show up.

Just getting started with Adsense is one thing, making real money from Adsence is entirely a different matter.

It’s tempting to think that simply placing a few advertisements on your page will start the money rolling, but like most things in life, it takes more understanding and effort than that. You may bring in a few dollars a month with no extra effort, but you’ll need to do some research and constantly devote time to improving the look of your website in order to really profit.
One of the first keys to making money from Google Adsence is to create advertisements that blend into the rest of the content on your page. Having ads that stand out or look like the typical, default Google ad will alert your visitors right away to the fact that it’s an ad. They’ll be turned off to you and to the site, and won’t click on the ads.

Decide if you want to use the maximum number of ads Google allows, generally 3, on each webpage. You may not want the max, although many suggest it.

Place the ads on the left for best viewing, or in the center, if you are really focused on profiting by using Google’s Adsense to make serious money.
